Agatha "Aggie" Germaine Mikulsky, 95, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Woodside Nursing Home in Ashwaubenon. The daughter of Victor and Emma (Malfroid) Laurent was born on August 13, 1928, in Algoma.
At an early age Aggie moved to Green Bay, where she attended and graduated from St. Joseph Academy. On July 6, 1948, she married her sweetheart, Eugene Mikulsky, at Immaculate Conception Church in Algoma. In 1987, the couple moved to their retirement home in Sobieski. Aggie was a wonderful homemaker and volunteered much of her time to several different organizations. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society at St. Philip Church in Green Bay, St. Joseph Church in Chase, and St. Maximilian Kolbe Church in Sobieski.
Aggie was a pro in the game of cribbage. She was a Life Master in the American Cribbage Congress (ACC) and held the ACC Grassroots Silver Award. She also led the local Grassroots Club for 25 years. Aggie and Gene enjoyed traveling; they visited 49 of the 50 states in the United States. When the kids were little, they spent many weekends at Sandstone Campground in Crivitz. Aggie was an exceptional seamstress and made all different outfits, but she was especially proud of the burial gowns she created for premature babies.
Survivors include her eight children: Emily (Lyle) Wery, Pittsfield; Eugene G. (Mary Jo) Mikulsky, Green Bay; Robert J. (Barbara) Mikulsky, New Franken; Mary (Bob) Phillips, Pittsfield; Joe (Trish) Mikulsky, Denmark; Steven (Lorrie) Mikulsky, Crivitz; Ann (Tim) Leurquin, MO; and Mark (Annette) Mikulsky, Sobieski; 20 grandchildren: Denise Wery, Heather Wery, and Eric (Emilie) Wery; Amy (Rick) Bigari, Tammy (Jim) McNicoll, Laura (John) Gardner, Matt (Amy) Mikulsky, Adam (Melissa) Mikulsky, Isaac Mikulsky, Jacob Mikulsky, and Rachel Mikulsky; Heidi (Corey) Brey, Jessica (Matt) Keehan, Brooke (Nick) Stefl, Joshua (Kari) Leurquin, Nathan (Laurel) Leurquin, Sarah Leurquin (Duane); Desiree Mikulsky, Amanda Mikulsky, and Becky Mikulsky; 36 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She is further survived by a sister, Rita Szyka; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Patricia Mikulsky, Rose (Clayton) Smits, Judy (Roger) Jacobsen, Phillip Mikulsky, David (Kathy) Mikulsky, Lawrence (Jo Ann) Mikulsky, Kathleen (David) Riebe, Virginia (John) Lippert, Christine Mikulsky, and Annette (John) Kimble, and Diane Laurent; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to her husband, Eugene, and her parents, Victor and Emma, she was preceded in death by two infant children: Michael and Rita Ann; granddaughter, Cindy Mikulsky; a daughter-in-law, Karen Mikulsky; siblings: Jeffery Laurent, Laura (Herbert) Jonet, Rosemary (Cyril) Daun, Allen Laurent, and Gerald Laurent; sisters-in- law, Carole (James) Ziemer, and Susan Mikulsky, and brothers-in-law, Gerald Mikulsky and Joe Szyka.
Friends are invited to gather with family at St. Maximilian Kolbe, 6051 Noble St., Sobieski, WI 54171, on Friday, April 5, from 9-11 a.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. with Fr. Francis Nusi presiding and Fr. Tony De los Santos con celebrating. Entombment will take place in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Green Bay.
The family respectfully asks that no flowers be sent. Instead, consider making a donation in Agatha's name to St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, Encompass Childcare, or Unity Hospice.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff at Woodside Nursing Home and the Unity Hospice Team for their care and compassion.

Aggie and Gene were regulars at All Saints Bingo in Denmark. Their son Joe was instrumental in setting up the fundraiser and they joyfully supported him. They were joined by daughter Emily and her daughter Heather most of the time. What a joy to visit with them. God Bless all your family during this difficult time, may the memories you share bring you peace and joy knowing they now are united again. Betty Duckett - All Saints, Denmark

My favorite memories are the summers we spent at Sandstone Campground together with a number of other Wisconsin Public Service families. Our children had a chance to be together, along with kids from friend's families. Many of those friendships have endured. Days were for the kids, swimming, water skiing and fishing. At night the kids gathered in their own groups on the shore, while adults played cards, sat around the campfire telling stories, and occasionally checking that the kids had enough snacks and 'refreshments'. It was a great way to spend the summers.
