Agnes Dillard Johnson, age 83 of West Jefferson passed away Friday, November 22, 2024.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024 at 1:30pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Elder James McNeill, Rev. Leon Miller, and Rev. Kirby McNeill officiating. Burial will follow in the Dillard Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 12-1:30pm at Boone Family Funeral Home.
Agnes was born February 9, 1941, in Ashe County to Bill and Carrie Miller Dillard. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clyde Johnson, granddaughter Carrie Cox and all ten of her brothers and sisters.
Agnes was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed puzzles, gardening; especially growing flowers, and watching the birds. Red cardinals were her favorite. She had a strong faith and love for the Lord. Agnes loved her family dearly, including a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Agnes is survived by her daughter Martha Cox (Donny), son Glenn Johnson (Jill), two grandsons, Josh Cox (Donna) and Nathaniel Johnson (Oliva), two granddaughters, Amber Roark (Robbie) and Makayla Lemly; three great grandchildren, Hunter Cox, Zadie Lemly, and Mila Roark.
Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to Dillard Cemetery, C/O Martha Cox, 709 Roundknob Church Road, West Jefferson, NC 28694.
