Agnes Luccio-Howell
Lorain - Agnes Luccio-Howell (nee Santo), 90, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025 at her home with her loving family by her side.
She was born on January 17, 1935, in
Lorain, OH to her loving parents, John and Helen (nee Kulhay) Santo.
Agnes graduated from Clearview High School, Class of 1954. She married Joseph Luccio on September 10, 1955, raising their five children together, they remained faithful, devoted and in love to one another. Sadly, Joseph passed away suddenly in 1991. Agnes remained a loving and devoted mother to her children. With the support of her faith, family and friends she found strength and peace.
Agnes was a devoted service clerk at the meat counter at Fligner's Market for 10 years, a job she loved and took great pride in. Her infectious laughter, radiant smile, and the ever-present twinkle in her eyes made her a beloved figure in the community. She was a devoted member of St. Vincent de Paul Church and the Altar and Rosary Society in Elyria and an active member of Lobo's Lady's Club, IAV, Eagles Auxiliary in Amherst, VFW Auxiliary, and the I.A.V. Post 1. Agnes was also a dedicated Cub Scout den mother, a role that showcased her nurturing nature and desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young people. She was a woman of many talents - a whizz in the kitchen who loved baking sweets, a crochet master who created beautiful pieces, playing cards with family and friends and a casino enthusiast and who embraced the thrill of the game.
On February 18, 1995 Agnes married Ronald Howell Sr., sharing their love and their children with one another. The bond they shared was one of mutual respect, deep affection, and unwavering support. They built a life together that was filled with joy, laughter, and countless beautiful moments.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years of marriage, Ronald Howell Sr.; children, Tina Fleming, Jerry Luccio, Bobby Luccio, and Michael (Migdalia) Luccio; step-son, Ronald (Sue) Howell Jr. ; brother, Frank Santo; 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren; and 3 step great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, John and Helen Santo; first husband, Joseph P. Luccio Sr.; son, Joseph Luccio Jr.; step daughter, Julie Kennedy; and brothers, John, Steve, and George Santo.
The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway,
Lorain, OH on Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM and at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 41295 N. Ridge Rd., Elyria, OH on Monday, November 3, 2025 from 9:00 AM until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM, Fr. Neil Walters, Pastor, officiating. Christian Burial will immediately follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery in
