Aiden Byland January 12th, 2014 - June 18th, 2025

Virginia Beach, Virginia, formerly of Minooka, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters in Norfolk, Virginia.
Born January 12, 2014 in Joliet, Illinois, Aiden Louis is the son of Timothy and Terrilee (Martin) Byland. A bright and joyful young boy, he had recently graduated from John B. Day Elementary School where he was voted "Most Likely to Brighten Your Day." Aiden had many interests, including anything related to Star Wars or Disney, with Lightning McQueen from Cars being one of his favorites. He had a vast collection of little Piggies and Rubber Duckies, and also loved playing video games. Aiden had a wonderful spirit, having great fun being with his friends or going for walks on the beach. His loveable personality was inspiring, making his family so very proud of him. Aiden will be missed deeply by his family and his friends, but his bright light will continue to shine on forever through all of the lives he impacted and the love he shared with them.
Survivors include his parents, Tim and Terrilee Byland; grandparents: Steve "Papa Friend" and Patty "Nana Friend" Byland, and Lynn Martin; aunts and uncles: Josephine Martin (Johnathan Schiller), Stephanie (Billy) Thompson, and Christine Martin; as well as numerous cousins and all of his friends from his 5th grade class.
The family will receive friends for a visitation at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road, in Wilmington on Saturday, June 28, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services at 6:00 p.m. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
