Aimee Lynne McCleney of Kenefick, Texas passed away after a tragic accident on February 16, 2024. She was surrounded by close family and friends as she left this world. Aimee was born May 12, 1967 in Houston, Texas to parents Toby and Patricia McCleney.
From an early age it was clear that Aimee had a passion for horses, and it was that passion that turned in to a lifelong dedication as an equestrian and cowgirl. Aimee was known as a serious competitor throughout her life in various rodeo/equestrian events throughout the country and dedicated her time unwaveringly to a multitude of associations that supported and promoted the rodeo, agricultural, and equestrian communities. Her passion and personality was infectious, and led to a lifetime of dear friends and family who cared for her deeply. She was hardly ever without a smile and could always be found lending her time to help someone. Aimee loved to teach not only in her personal life, but in her professional life as well where she spent 30 years teaching industrial safety throughout the chemical and refining industry in southeast Texas.
Aimee is preceded in death by her father Toby, and survived by her mother Patricia, her son Casey Parker, grandson Carson Parker, her brother Bain and his wife Kaysie, and nephews Toby and Cooper.
A celebration of life will be held at 3:00pm Saturday, March 23rd, 2024 at the J Bar Ranch & Arena, 1780 County Road 301 North, Dayton, TX. 77535. A memorial will be held to honor her life followed by a gathering of friends and family to rejoice in her memory.
