Aireminta Scott Bellamy was born on January 30,1941 to the late Roman Thomas and Isabelle Scott. She was called to eternal rest on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.
Aireminta accepted Christ as her personal Savior and became a member of New Hope Baptist Church at an early age in Dunbar, NC. She graduated from Phillips High School in 1959.
Aireminta retired from Walmart after working there for 29 years. She was a selfless, compassionate person who always put the needs of others before her own. Her Hobbies included cooking, sewing, shopping, watching soap operas, and she absolutely loved all types of plants and flowers, especially Roses and Stargazers.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her husband of 63 years Floyd Bellamy, three children, Irvin Bellamy (Benita) of Rocky Mount, Byron Keith Bellamy (Toni Ann) of Hampton, VA, and Amanda Bellamy-Sessoms (Derrick) of Raleigh, NC. Also left to cherish her memory are five grandchildren: Makayla Bellamy, Gabryelle Williams (Derrick), Jacolby Sessoms, Courtney Sessoms, Skyler Everette, and one greatgrandchild, Ava Williams. Let us not forget her incredibly special grand dog Bentley "Bent" Sessoms. She also leaves a host of other relatives, family, and friends.
A Visitation for Mrs. Bellamy will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday, September 12, 2025, in the Rocky Mount Chapel of H.D. Pope Funeral Home, 325 Nash Street, Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Funeral Services will follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. The interment will immediately follow the service in the Gardens of Gethsemane Cemetery in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.
