Alan H. "Pup" Boothe, 83, of Wrentham, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston.
Born on August 22, 1942 in Boston, he grew up in the Dorchester area and was a graduate of Hyde Park High School. Alan proudly served his country in the Massachusetts Army National Guard before beginning a 32-year career as a bus driver with the MBTA.

He was the beloved husband of the late Catherine E. (McKinnon) Boothe and the son of the late Henry and Elizabeth (McKeil) Boothe.

For the past 25 years, Alan shared his life and countless adventures with his devoted partner, Ruby MacInnis. Together they traveled extensively across the United States and abroad to places such as Europe and Italy, but no matter the destination, Alan's favorite role was being at the heart of his family. Their Sunday afternoon trips to the casino with friends, most often to Foxwoods, were a highlight, as were the simple joys of going for drives, enjoying a meal, and appreciating nature together.

Alan loved to tinker in his barn, chop firewood, and tend to his yard, which was his sanctuary. He also enjoyed scratch tickets, blueberry pancakes with blueberry syrup, and a good cup of coffee.

In addition to Ruby, his loving partner of 25 years, Alan is survived by his children: Mary Kalalas and her husband Daniel of Northport, FL; Robert Foley of Hawaii; Alan J. Boothe and his partner Jennifer Burns of Wrentham; Kenneth J. Boothe and his wife Annette of Wrentham; and Michael "Scott" Boothe and his wife Francie of North Attleboro. He leaves nine cherished grandchildren - Anthony, William, Katie, Michael, Kyle, Nicholas, Brianna, Adam, and Aidan - and his great-grandson, Steven. He was the dear brother of Caryl Romeo and Gary Boothe.

He also held a special place in his heart for Ruby's family: Susan Baker and her husband Jairo of North Attleboro; Pamela Baker of Wrentham; and her late daughter Shalene Baker of Canada; Ruby's grandchildren - Ashley, Taylor, Scottie, Madison, Matthew, Jesse, and Sami - and Ruby's great-grandsons, Jonathan and Greyson.

Alan is also survived by his lifelong best friend of over 75 years, Ken O'Neil of Florida.

To say Alan was there for his family is an understatement. He always had the best advice for both family and strangers. His smile and that signature laugh will never be forgotten. You are and always will be a huge staple in all our lives! Botta Boom / Chewk!

A celebration of Alan's life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Sperry-McHoul-Pichi Funeral Home, North Attleboro.
