Alan T. Bouressa of Denmark, Wisconsin passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023 at the age of 60. Al was born in Kimberly, Wisconsin on January 17, 1963 to Joseph and Donelda ("Donna") (Hopfensperger) Bouressa.
Al graduated from West High School in Green Bay and attended the University of Wisconsin-Stout where he met the love of his life, Amy. He married Amy (Hawes) on May 30, 1986, and they raised two children together.
Al worked for Dufeck Wood Products for over 25 years and enjoyed crafting woodworking pieces for friends and family. As an avid fisherman and outdoorsman, he loved spending his time in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. Al's outgoing and generous spirit will be greatly missed by all.
Al is survived by his wife of 37 years, Amy; children Dominic Bouressa (Sarah) and Sydney Bouressa (special friend, Joseph DeSilva); mother, Donna Bouressa; father-in-law, Hal Hawes; and mother-in-law, Brenda Robillard; siblings Terri Bouressa (David Theisen), Amy Bouressa, Timothy Bouressa (Sheri), Katey Smith (Gregory), and Joseph Bouressa (Jessie); brother-in-law, Michael Hawes; nieces, Kari Bouressa (Clayton Schilling), Maria Theisen (special friend, Kevin Ellingwood), Samantha Jurczykowski (Andrew), Cassandra Bouressa; and nephews, Brad Hawes (special friend, Kayla Johnson), Saul Theisen (Dana Kernik-Theisen), Ryan Smith, and Jackson Smith.
He is also survived by a great-nephew (Iver Kernik-Theisen) and great-niece (Kenzie Jurczyowski), uncles, aunts and many cousins, and special friends, Lisa Hawes, Maddy Rowley (Daniel) and Quinn Rowley.
Al was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Bouressa.
A special thank you to the staff of St. Vincent Hospital ICU who saw to Al's care. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to Northwoods Land Trust, Eagle River, WI (https://northwoodslandtrust.org/support).
Visitation will be at Cotter Funeral Home - Denmark Chapel, 536 County Road R, Denmark, WI on Thursday, July 20, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday, July 21, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life for Al at the funeral home.
