Alan Boyd Obituary
Alan is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Rose Boyd, their children, Jessica Boyd, Joseph Boyd, Megan Hanes (and husband Christophor Hanes), Mysti Maddox, and Michael Moseley. He is also survived by his siblings ,Bret Boyd(and wife Mimi Boyd), Chad Boyd (and wife Tracy Boyd) and Lexa Turner (and husband Don Turner), as well as his cherished grandchildren: Brody Evans (and wife Audrey Evans), Brandon Evans (and fiancée Hannah Butler), Bayleigh Smith (and husband Ethan Smith), Jacob Boyd, Waylon Boyd, Byron Weatherford, Cortlin Jackson, Caroline Hanes, and Harper Hanes, along with many beloved great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Alan was preceded in death by his oldest brother, Damon Boyd.
Alan dedicated 22 years of service to Johnson Controls, where he was valued for his work ethic and expertise. Outside of work, he was passionate about his Mustang, enjoyed his bourbon, and had a deep love for the beach life. He touched many lives with his wealth of advice and wisdom, always willing to lend a hand or share his insight.
Remembered for his quick wit and infectious sense of humor, Alan brightened the lives of all who knew him. His ambition, love for family, and dedication to friends and pets left a lasting impression on everyone. He was a devoted husband, father, and friend, bringing laughter, warmth and bourbon wherever he went.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home (2403 Harrison Avenue, Panama City, Florida).
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the many friends and family members who provided care and support during Alan's final days.
Rest in peace, Alan Boyd. You will be deeply missed, and your legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew you.
