Alan Paul Burton, 77, North Manchester, was born in Wabash, to Paul Gerald and Maxine (Emerick) Burton, passed away peacefully at his home in North Manchester on October 12, 2025.

After graduating from Manchester High School in 1968, Alan embarked on a notable career as a carpet layer, spending thirty years with Wendel's Decor Shoppe. During this time, he met a lot of people and he had the uncanny ability to remember everyone’s name.

Alan married Rebecca Ann Cripe, with whom he shared many wonderful years and three children. An avid outdoor enthusiast, Alan found joy in fishing and hunting, always eager to embrace any opportunity to be outside. When inside, Alan enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears.
