Alan David Hooper, age 72, of Marietta, Georgia passed away November 26, 2023. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 4, 2023 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta, Georgia. with Rev. Matt Jeffreys and Rev. Jake Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta, Georgia.
Alan was a native of Georgia living most of his life in Marietta, Georgia. He received a Mechanical Engineering degree from Georgia Southern University. He worked with Owens Corning/Trumbull Asphalt Division for 30 years. Alan loved repairing mechanical engines, woodworking, home projects, riding his motorcycle, hanging out with his cats and especially spending time with his family and friends. He also loved sharing the love of Jesus through his deeds of kindness and witness. He participated in over 25 mission trips in North America, Central and South America building and restoring churches and preparing and providing motorcycles to pastors who had no means of transportation to their churches.
Survivors include: wife of 38 years Joann M. Hooper; daughter: Miriam A. Hooper; brother: Richard S. Hooper and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 4, 2023 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, Georgia.
