Alan Lemmon Obituary
He was born in Ashtabula, Ohio on July 18, 1949 the son of Floyd H. and Elsie L. (nee: Nolder) Lemmon. Alan attended Buckeye Schools. He enlisted in the United States Navy, serving honorably. Alan married the love of his life, Lynn R. Pelton on June 16, 1980 in Ashtabula. He was a man of faith.
Alan worked for many years as a truck driver for Mike's Farm Market. He enjoyed working on small engines and helped many family, friends and neighbors get their equipment running again. Alan had a thirst for knowledge, searching YouTube on how to fix things, or how his next medical procedure would be done. Alan could often be found in the garage tinkering or spending time outdoors. He loved his family, spending time with them and especially loved his grandbabies. What he dreaded was Winter, and began fretting its arrival in July.
Alan will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Lynn Lemmon; children, Cherrie (Tim) Greer, Jason A. (Jennifer) Lemmon, Lori (Bob) Beatty, Shannon (Andrew) Knight, and Wade (Amber Johnson) Lemmon; brother, Randy (Sally) Lemmon; grandchildren, TJ Greer, Catherine Greer, Tiffany (Tim) Tuttle, Ben Greer, Kaden Lemmon, Nicole Beatty, Bob Beatty, Cassandra (Josh) Shaffer, Caitlyn (Domenico Ranieri) Potter, Derek Knight, Zachary Knight, Zoey Lemmon, Mila and Riley Lemmon-Johnson; great-grandchildren, Riley, Aden, Jack, Jason, Sam, Kayleigh and Isabella; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tara Lemmon; and his siblings, Harold Rupert, Gloria Jean Rought, Dennis J. Lemmon, and JoAnn Lemmon.
Funeral service will be held, Friday, December 22, 2023 at 4:00PM at Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 W. Prospect Rd., where friends and family will be received from 2PM until time of service at 4PM. The family wishes everyone to please dress casually.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his memory may be given to the American Cancer Society.
