Alan "Al" Mann

Alan Louis Mann (Al), passed away at his home on Scenic Lake, in Laingsburg, Michigan, on Sunday, June 2nd, 2024. He was born on January 19, 1946 in Pontiac, Michigan along with his twin brother, Bruce. He was preceded in death by his parents, Waldemar (Walter) and Lucile Mann (Staffeld), his brothers, Donald (Don) and his wife, Delores (Dee) Mann as well as his twin brother, Bruce, and his wife, Judith (Judy) Mann, Walter Mann and his sister, Barbara Mann as well as his dog, Bubba. "Good Looking Uncle Al" is survived by his nieces and nephews, Kelly Bambard (Eric) and their children, Kala Barrios (Francisco) and Kyle Bambard; Mark Mann (Ellen); Melinda LaRosa (Anthony) and their children, Colton, Abigail and Logan LaBrosse; Melissa (Jason) Degen and their child, Jillian; Erika Pease (Justin) and their children, Keira and Kennedy; Kevin (Leah) Mann and their children, Viena and Claire and Ryan (Lisa) Mann along with grand nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Boo.
Al was a graduate of Pontiac Northern High School in Pontiac, Michigan where he grew up and earned his bachelor degree from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. He worked for Marketing Resource Group in Lansing, Michigan and was a proud member of the Republican Party.
He loved traveling, fishing, boating and spending time with friends and family at his home on beautiful Scenic Lake. He was an active member of St. Luke's Church in Haslett, Michigan and was instrumental in helping build their outdoor worship area. He had a wicked sense of humor and was always quick to laugh at a joke whether he was spending time at Twilliger's in Laingsburg, Michigan and driving around on his pontoon boat on Scenic Lake and socializing with his many wonderful neighbors.
His energetic and warm spirit will be missed by all but friends and family will take comfort in sharing stories during a visitation on June 8, 2024 at 12 pm at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 5589 Van Atta Rd., Haslett, MI 48840, followed by a service at 1 pm. Donations can be made to St. Luke Lutheran Church in his memory.
