Alan Wayne Porter, 70, of West Terre Haute, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025. Alan was born on June 23rd, 1955, to Alvie and Mary Porter.
Alan cherished his faith and was an attendee of services at South Side Nazarene Church. He loved spending quality time with his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He loved to embark on outings with his grandkids and coloring with them anytime they came to visit. He also enjoyed long drives with his wife—occasionally getting lost along the way. Most importantly Alan had a profound love for everyone he encountered; he never met a stranger. He was always there to help and uplift anyone who needed it. His warm smile radiated love, bringing peace and joy to any room he entered and anyone he might encounter.
He is survived by his wife Edie Porter, son Dwayne Porter (Liddie), brother Dave Porter, grandkids Devon, Sebastain, Chance, and Alan Porter, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Alan is proceeded in death by his parents Alvie and Mary Porter; brother Roger Porter; and sister Leona Ryan.
