Alan Darryhl Weiss, 79, of Oley Twp., passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 in the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Veronica D. (Hillbish) Weiss, who died March 22, 2010.

Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Henry S. Weiss and Mildred G. (Levengood) Shonely; and step-son of the late Dolores Weiss and David Schonely. As a young man, Alan was very active with Boy Scout Troop #597 Amityville. Alan was a 1964 graduate of Daniel Boone High School; and received an Associate's Degree in Engineering in 1966 from Pennsylvania State University. He also received a certificate for Journeyman Machinist. Alan worked for thirty-eight years for Carpenter Technology, retiring in 2002. He loved mowing his lawn on his fleet of John Deere tractors, going to auto shows of classic cars, model trains and playing bingo.

Alan is survived by his daughters: Brenda A. Cass (David) and Jennifer E. Crawford (Robert); grandchildren: Andrew Cass (Lauren Barunas), Katrina Lautenberger (Kolya) and Alicia Matcho (David); and great-grandchildren: Aydan Barunas, Harper Cass and Jameson Cass. He is also survived by his siblings: Linda Weiss, Diane Snyder (Charles), Denise Landis (Joseph) and David "Butch" Schonely, Jr. (Janet); and many nieces and nephews. Alan was predeceased by a sister: Debby Schonely.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 10:30 am at Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 to 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Oley Fire Company, 477A Main Street, Oley, PA 19547 or Scout Troop #597 Amityville, c/o Scoutmaster Rick Henry, 261 Lanie Drive, Birdsboro, PA 19508.
