With heavy hearts, we share that our beloved Mother, Alana Adele Ayers Watry of Niles Michigan, at the age of 87, has passed peacefully on March 17, 2025, suffering from congestive heart failure.
Adele was born in Schenectady New York to her parents Emma Laurena Marsh Ayers and Edgar Harvey Ayers. Adele was raised in Niles Michigan. She was a graduate of Niles Highschool class of 1955. Her love of horses resonated to her children, as she served as their 4-H horse club organizational leader. They enjoyed many years of equestrian fun. As a second generation member of the National Button Society, Adele showed buttons throughout the United States. Adele was a hard working, smart woman who while managing the household, held a job position as a manager of mechanical production. In May of 2010, Adele was recognized for fifty years of loyal service with the National Society of The Daughters of the American Revolution along with the Michigan Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Adele was preceded in death by her son Frank Harvey Watry, her sister Alice Anne Ayers Krautter, her parents, Edgar Harvey Ayers and Emma Laurena Marsh Ayers.
Adele was survived by her brother Fred H. Ayers of Texas, daughters Terry Kay (Rob) Pritchard of Michigan, Marsha Ann (Robert William) Semrinec of Florida; grandchildren Angela Pritchard (John Skopec), Justin (Becky) Pritchard, Amanda (Joshua) Duley, Brian Marsh Semrinec; great grandchildren Rebekka Benjamin (Kodi Beckman), Tyler Skopec, Luke, Calton, and Daniel Duley, Laura Walter, and one in the oven; great- great grandchildren Oakley and Brylee Beckman.
Per Adele’s wishes, no memorial services will be held. Adele will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
