Alathea Ann "Lisa" Madlock

Alathea "Lisa" Ann Madlock, 58, of Peoria, IL, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025, at her residence.
Lisa was born on March 19, 1967, in Peoria to Mose and Ether Madlock, Jr. She graduated from Manual High School and worked for the Peoria Public Library and Foster & Gallagher for several years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mose Madlock, Jr. and Ether (McKnight) Madlock; sister, Mae Ruth Jackson; and grandmothers, Henrietta McKnight and Minnie Mae Rivers Madlock.
Lisa is survived by her stepmother, Charlene Madlock; sister, Jametta Rutherford; brothers, Edgar (Shermaine) Lee, Benjamin Lee Myles, and D'Andre Lee (Mo) Myles; aunts, Lilly (Jesse) Williams, Gloria "Leah" Tyler, and Mary McCline; uncles, James "Pappy" Madlock, Roosevelt Madlock, George (Janie) Madlock, and Tommy (Beatrice) Madlock; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Lisa enjoyed playing games, such as cards and dominoes, and entertaining her friends and family.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Sovereign Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Peoria with Reverend Alvin Riley Sr. officiating. The visitation will be an hour prior to the service at church. The repast will be held at Smokin Notes BBQ, 400 Riverside Drive, East Peoria, IL. (Everyone will be responsible for their own meal.)
