Albert William Budy

Albert William Budy, Sr., 88, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Ashtabula Regional Medical Center. He was born on March 16, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Albert Charles and Mary (Madarasz) Budy. Al was a 1955 graduate of Austinburg High School. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1961. After his honorable discharge he married the love of his life, Linda Patrick on September 15, 1962, and she preceded him in death on July 30, 2019. Over the years he was a police officer for Geneva-on-the-Lake and worked for 21 years for RMI until their closing. Always one to work and stay busy he continued to work for Glotzbeckers and many other jobs along the way. Al did love a nice Cadillac and for many years that was his choice of car to drive. His passion was boating, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Budy is survived by his children, David Budy, Dawn (Brian) Lane, John Budy and Albert (Danielle) Budy, Jr.; a host of grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Allen Budy; beloved wife, Linda Budy; and his sister, Beverly Louis. A graveside service will be held, Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 11:00 at Austinburg Cemetery.
