Albert Lee Caswell, 85, affectionately known as "Bud" by his family and friends. He was a resident of Jennings, LA and entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, in the comfort of his home while surrounded by those he loved most.

"Bud" was born on October 15, 1939, in Jennings, LA to the late Robert and Lelia Caswell. He was baptized at an early age and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, pastored by Reverend Jude Fernando, TOR.

"Bud" was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1956 and received an Honorable Discharge in 1959. "Bud" was a successful Plumber until his retirement in 2005. "Bud" was a life-long New Orleans Saints fan. He enjoyed watching television, spending time with his wife and playing with his dogs, Petey and Maddie. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, reading and doing crossword puzzles. He took great pride in manicuring his lawn.

"Bud" is survived by his loving wife of 63-years, Barbara Lou Richard-Caswell; one daughter, Donna Caswell-Rodriguez (Rob) of Yorkville, IL; three sons, Robbie Caswell (Tammy) of Egan, LA, Curtis Caswell (Michelle) of Evangeline, LA and Randall Caswell (Darlene) of Egan, LA; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; one sister, Brenda Stenseth; two brothers, James Caswell and Wilbert Caswell.

"Bud" was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Caswell & Lelia Boone-Caswell and Lovina Caswell (step-mother); five sisters, Belle Miller Blackwell, Anna Mae Mills, Lela Caswell, Vinnie Ann Richard and Vida Lee McFarlain; four brothers, Joseph, Michael, Ricky and Robert Caswell.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm in the Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary in Jennings, LA. Religious services will be held at 12:00 pm in the Chapel with a Cursillo Rosary recited. Interment will follow in the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery with Military Funeral Honors Accorded by the U.S. Army.

The Caswell family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff of Hospice of Acadiana who provided care for "Bud" during his health decline. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made in memory of Albert Caswell to Hospice of Acadiana at www.hospiceacadiana.com
