Albert J. Fortuner, Jr., 85, of Greenfield Twp., died Sunday April 6th at the Carbondale Nursing Center. He is survived by his wife, the former Joan Marie Cerra.
Born in Carbondale, son of the late Albert J. and Margaret Tusko Fortuner, Sr., he was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Carbondale. He was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a machinist for RCA/Thompson Consumer Electronics, Dunmore.
Also surviving are a son: Alan Fortuner, Sr., and wife Marnell, Clifford Twp.; a daughter: Lori Zeshonski and husband Michael, Greenfield Twp.; three grandchildren: Michael Zeshonski and wife Kari; A.J. Fortuner; Avery Fortuner; two great grandchildren: Lydia and Lainey; a sister: Elaine Wanat and husband Frank, Greenfield Twp.; a sister-in-law: Crystal Fortuner, Greenfield Twp.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a brother: Paul Fortuner, Sr.; and a sister: Marion Williams.
The funeral will be Thursday April 10th with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale. Interment will follow in Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill. Friends may call Thursday at the church from 9 am until mass time. Arrangements by the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale.
