Albert LeBleu, age 75, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2024, after living a life full of adventure and creativity. Albert was born on August 27, 1949, in Lake Charles, to Albert and Mildred LeBleu
Coming form a large musically inclined family, a love for rock and roll music inspired Al to sit behind his drum kit and play with his local garage band The Castaways and was the drummer for other local bands as well, creating music that lives on today. With Janet and Jeremy in tow, Al played music for many years, teaching them both to tap their feet to the beat.
Another passion of Al’s were classic cars and hot rods. He loved watching the NHRA drag races on tv and was able to attend a few races in person.
He also love to hunt, fish and spend time on a shrimp boat to help bring in money to support his family. Al’s main form of work came as an Iron Worker for the Lake Charles Local 678 and later as Used Car Salesman.
Al is Preceded in death by his parents, Mildred Harbour (mom), Albert “Curley” LeBleu (dad), Rodney Harbour (step father), Shane LeBleu (brother), Pam LeBleu (sister-in-law), Kaitlynn LeBleu (granddaughter). As well as other family members and friends
He is survived by loving wife of 55 years Jackie LeBleu, daughter, Janet Rainwater (Keith) and son, Jeremy LeBleu (Shannon) as well as his Grandchildren, Emily Rainwater Broussard (Tyler), Brian Worley, Cody Rainwater, Kennedy Rainwater and 7 great grandchildren.
He is also survived by his brothers & sisters - Ramona Coco (Robert), Cindy Victory (Bob), Phyllis Pesantes (Gus), Angela Jackson, Albert LeBleu, Cheryl LeBleu, Michael LeBleu, Jesse LeBleu (Joann) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Albert's family and friends will gather to celebrate his remarkable life. A public viewing will be held on December 28, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home, 4321 Lake St. Lake Charles, LA. 70605. A Rite of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral at Highland Memory Gardens.
