Albert Mercury Obituary
Irondequoit: Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at the age of 72. Predeceased by his parents, Ottavio and Mary Mercury. Albert is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Gloria Mercury; children, Derek (Cassidy Arden) Mercury, Lisa (Justin Rea) Mercury-Rea; grandchildren, Elysia and Nico Rea; siblings, Joseph (Celeste) Mercury, Robert (Margaret) Mercury, Catherine (Fran) Mason, Caroline Mercury (Rob); mother-in-law, Elizabeth Esposito; sister-in-law, Grace (William) Davis; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
He was a graduate of Aquinas Institute, attended the US Coast Guard Academy, graduated from the University of Rochester and Cornell Law School. Albert was an Attorney with the Phillips Lytle Law firm for over 30 years.
His family will receive friends Sunday, September 26, 1:00 - 4:00 pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Friends are invited to join the family Monday, September 27, 10:00 am at St. Kateri At Christ The King Church for his funeral mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Wilmot Cancer Institute, 300 East River Road, P.O. Box 278996, Rochester, NY 14627, Italian Heritage Foundation, 100 Meridian Center Blvd., Rochester, NY 14618 or to Sunset House, 3746 St. Paul Blvd., Rochester, NY 14617.

I was Al's secretary for 3 years. He is the best boss I have ever had in 25+ years of working. He was strong, funny and kind. Condolences to his family and all who knew him.
