Albert Vincent Mineweaser, Sr., of North East, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday March 1, 2026 at UPMC Hamot.

He was born on September 10, 1941 in Sigel, PA to the late George and Rachel (Dodson) Mineweaser.

Albert worked at General Electric in building 5 for 40 years where he met his lifelong friend Cliff Kerns.

He was a strong man of Faith and was an active member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church where he served as a Church Trustee, was involved with church puppet ministry, church missions, and attended Sunday School.

To know Al was to know his smile meant a thousand words as we was a quiet warrior for God. Throughout his life he was dedicated to his Faith, work, family, and friends.

Al loved sitting on his back porch, western shows, country music, scratch off tickets, and word search puzzles. He was a proud Pittsburgh Steeler and Jeff Gordan fan.

He was preceded in death by his beloved granddaughter, Emily Mineweaser; brothers, David and Bill, Sr. Mineweaser; and sisters, Julie Yohe, Delores Clinger, and an infant sister, Alice Mineweaser.

Albert is survived by the loved of his life of 56 years, Linda (Crawford) Mineweaser whom he married May 3, 1969; children, Al Mineweaser, Jr. and Stacie Shchouchkoff (Tony); grandchildren, Leah Phillips (Jerry), Tyler Shchouchkoff (Kelly), Adriana Mineweaser, Zachary Shchouhkoff, Benjamin Shchouchkoff, and Jamie Mineweaser; great-grandchildren, Addison, Jacob and Charles Phillips; brother, Leonard Minewiser; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Brian Lumbaid, Ben Hamman and may others.

The family would life to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of UPMC Hamot for their dedication to all of Albert's needs. A special thank you to his oldest granddaughter, Leah Phillps for her unwavering dedication, advocacy, and outstanding care for every step of his adventure.

Friends and family may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Friday March 6th from 3:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. and are invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Officiating the service is Pastor Todd Davis and former Pastor Mary Stewart. Interment will be held at North East Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Immanuel United Methodist Church, 22 East Division Street, North East, PA 16428. Please send condolences to elkinfh.com.
