Albert R. Weedon Jr.

Albert Russell Weedon Jr. was born on November 17th 1947 in Frederick, Maryland to
Lola and Albert Weedon. He was affectionately known as "Junie", "Uncle Junie", "Pop",
"Pop,Pop", and "Sweet Al The Kiddies Pal". Albert received his heavenly wings on October
30th 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
Albert graduated from Neptune High School in 1967. He went on to enlist in the army on
a dare with friend Paul Coleman on September 18th, 1967 and served in the military until
May 2nd, 1970. Albert went on to serve three terms in the Vietnam War and became a
decorated veteran.
Albert met his future wife Felece in 1977 in a bank in Maryland. From that union Albert
welcomed a stepson Kevin Robinson and they birthed their son Albert R. Weedon III. Albert
and Felece migrated to NJ in 1983 and were married on February 14th 1986.
Albert was a construction worker by trade and a roller operator for E&L, Manzo and Earle
Asphalt Co. for over forty years. In his spare time he loved to play the lottery and his motto
was "Im going to play my numbers". Albert enjoyed watching "nature" and all types of
movies. Albert also loved playing cards with "The Poker Crew" and watching every sport
imaginable.
Albert was the patriarch of his family and a personal safety net. He was wise beyond his
years, and always offered support and love to everyone who called upon him. Uncle Junie
cared deeply for his family and was a father figure to his nieces and nephews. He loved
babysitting and facetiming his family and grandchildren.
Albert was predeceased by his father, Albert Weedon; grandmother, Inez Tyson; father
in law John A. Lewis and mother in law Vivian Lewis. Aunts, Bernice Jefferson, Mildred
Williams, Virginia Holland; Uncles Hayes Weedon, Edgar Weedon; brother David E. Weedon;
sisters, Barbara Reynolds, Wanda Mitchell, Virginia Rogers, brother in law Michael Lewis;
Cousins Judy Bess, Bonnie Foster and Terriline Davis, nephews Edgar Byrd, Joseph
Mitchell Jr., niece Tiffany L. Rawls-Dill and granddaughter Tanisha Little.
Albert leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife Felece Weedon, sons Albert R.
Weedon III (Ayana) Kevin Robinson (Tosha); his grandchildren Shamel, Day'Quan, Owen
(Ty), Destini, Elijah, Jalen, Jay'Vion and Amir. Also left to keep his spirit alive is his beloved
mother Lola Weedon; mother in law Ella M. Lewis, Aunt Irene Gray, his brothers DeWayne
Weedon (Leah), Douglas Weedon, Anthony Weedon (Debra); sisters Gwendolyn Gibson,
Joyce Wilder, Leslie Furman; Sister in Laws Cynthia Weedon, Nadine Pini and April Lewis;
Brother in Law Derrick Reynolds, Murray Rogers, Nathan Lewis (Angela) and Syeed Karim
(Delta) along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
