Our mom has been reunited with her eternal companion, our Dad Nick. She left us unexpectedly on Aug. 9, 2024. Alberta Gwynne Roberts was born to Reed & Alberta Roberts on March 2, 1942, in Cedar City, Utah.
At age 12 Mom & her family moved to Reno. She graduated from Reno High School, where she was involved in Student Government & the Drill Team. She earned her Associates degree from BYU. Mom spent a few years in Hawaii with her dear friend, Barbara. Hawaii always held a special place in her heart. She moved back to Utah and met our Dad, Nick. They settled in North Ogden where they had a full house with seven children.
Family was everything to Mom! Family vacations, holidays, games, birthdays and time together bought her the most joy. Other things Mom enjoyed included Elvis, diet coke, popcorn, chocolate, puzzles, reading, cross-stitch and visitors.
Gwynne was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She & Dad had the privilege of serving for 20 years as missionaries at the Conference Center at Temple Square. Mom also served in various church callings through the years.
Gwynne is survived by her children, Kristin (Roger) Smout, Kerri Crawford, Tricia (Ken) Buss, Marci (Randon) Reed, Jaime (Brian) Cragun, Carl (Maren) Roberts, Tyler Nichols, 19 grandchildren, and a brother, David Roberts. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nick, her parents, Reed and Alberta Roberts, a sister, Carol Schindler, and a brother, Evan Roberts.
A viewing for Gwynne will take place on Monday, August 19, 2024, from 6-8 pm at the Coldwater Stake Center, 770 E. 2100 N. North Ogden, Utah. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 10:00 am at the Ben Lomond Cemetery, 600 E. 2850 N. North Ogden, Utah. Service will be live streamed and can be watched on Gwynne's obituary at www.myers-mortuary.com by clicking on the following link. https://MyersMortuary.livecontrol.tv/33fdcfac
