Roy Kay

Roy Lynn Kay passed away unexpectedly on February 27, 2026 due to medical issues. He was born on February 3, 1958 in San Antonio, Texas to Stacy Calvin Kay and JoAnn Tubbs. He graduated from Ogden High School then enlisted in the US Marine Corps, where he furthered his education, becoming a Radar Technician. He worked as a technician at Thiokol where he enjoyed attending several shuttle launches. He worked as a technical engineer at Fresenius Medical Care for the past 32 years and graduated from Weber State University during that time. He was married and divorced in his early 20's and was estranged from his 3 children: Amy, Andrew, and Lacy. He was very close to his siblings: Stacy (Joyce), Hank (Jean), Alan (Linda), Jeff (Yoriko), Judy (Kyle), and Joel. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, all grandparents, brothers Stacy and Joel, and 3 nephews. He had a kind heart and was loved and will be greatly missed by his family.

In honor of Roy, two viewings will be held. The first will be held Thursday, March 5, 2026 from 6:00-7:30 pm at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Boulevard, Ogden, Utah. A second viewing will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Myers Mortuary, from 11:30-12:30 pm followed by his funeral service at 1 pm.
