Albertine "Bert" M. Lanteigne Solon, age 92, of Anderson, SC, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 27, 2025.

Born May 20, 1933, in Caraquet, New Brunswick, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Aurele R. Lanteigne and Delima Morais Lanteigne. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 66 years, John R. Solon; brothers, Paul Lanteigne and Denys Lanteigne; sisters, Pauline Jones and Gloria Jones.

Bert lived each and every day to the fullest. She enjoyed creating unique, thoughtful gifts and passing them along to her children and grandchildren. She loved telling stories and participating in skits at our family reunions. She enjoyed keeping busy with numerous projects such as wine making and fishing with her husband, tending to her vegetable and flower gardens, traveling, creating beautiful quilts filled with love. Above all, her greatest joy was found in time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who knew her as a pillar of strength, wisdom and laughter. In her most recent years, she had the privilege of earning the trust and love for a stray cat that she named "Jethro" who always brought a smile to her face and peace in her heart.

She worked as a Registered Nurse for over 40 years where her compassionate spirit enable her to touch countless lives in Labor and Delivery and also as Head Nurse in the Endoscopy Unit at Mansfield General Hospital in Mansfield, OH. Her faith was an important part of her daily life and she was a devoted member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Anderson, SC.

She is survived by her children, Cindy Chuhaloff, John R. Solon, Jr. (Frankie), Debra Brawdy (Eric), Susan Solon, Mark Solon (late wife Lori), and Robert Solon (Amy); brothers, Allain Lanteigne (Muriel) and Aurele Lanteigne (Yolande); sister, May Turpin; fourteen grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
