Alberto Garcia Castro, 62, of Moline, Illinois, died Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, Illinois.

Services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 3, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with Father Antonio Dittmer officiating.

Alberto was born August 22, 1962, in Mexico, the son of Alberto Garcia and Celia Castro. He married the love of his life, Bertha Arroyo de Garcia, on April 30, 1993. He worked for Tyson Foods.

He loved the rodeo and all things horses, bulls and roosters. He was a hard-working man who was known to help family and friends in need with his skills as a handyman. While he had a stern exterior, he also had a heart of gold, and especially had a soft spot for his children and grandchildren.

Alberto is survived by his beloved wife, Bertha Arroyo de Garcia; his children, Omar (Yessica) Garcia of Augusta, Georgia, and Araceli Garcia of Moline; his grandson, Santiago Garcia; his mother, Celia Castro; and siblings, Luis, Marisol, Salvador, Guadalupe, Jose Juan, Ricardo, Javier, Maria Esther, Fernando, and Liliana. He was preceded in death by his father, Alberto Garcia.
