Albin Mallek Obituary

Al is the late son of Frank and Helen Mallek. Al attended school in Stevens Point and Sturtevant, Wisconsin.
He married Bernadine Dudzik in 1958 and they settled in Stevens Point to raise their family. Bernadine preceded him in death.
Al was employed by the Copps corporation for over 30 years, was a lifelong member of St. Peters Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary, Madison; and a son, Thomas (Catherine), Pennsylvania; along with three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and four sisters.
Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on November 14, at St. Peters Catholic Church. Rev. John Potaczek will officiate. Visitation will in the Faustina Room at St. Peter's Catholic Church from 9:30 a.m. until time for the funeral mass. Burial will be at Guardian Angel Cemetery.

Mary and Thomas, and family, my sincere heartfelt condolences to the loss of your father Albin. A lot of great memories and knowledge gained when Albin would have me do antenna work or electrical work at his Georgia Street home. I always enjoyed corresponding with him about how the Stevens Point area developed throughout the years and about his job at the former Copps Corporation (now Kroger's). It was always interesting to learn about his hobby of Ham radio as he used to explain how the signals would propagate especially living about a block from the WSPT radio transmitter as this created a real challenge for the ham operators as well as TV reception issues. He figured it out and passed the knowledge to me and others. I always remember when I was young, Al was the usher at Saint Peter Catholic Church, in Stevens Point, WI and would always give our family a big smile. Al thank you for the memories!
