Aldo Ruddi Barbolini April 13, 1938 – July 26, 2025 San Antonio, Florida Formerly of Highland Falls, New York
Aldo Ruddi Barbolini died on July 26, 2025 in San Antonio, Florida, at the age of 87, with his loving wife, Jean Ann Donnery Barbolini at his side.
Aldo was born in Cornwall, New York, April 13, 1938 to Rudolph and Josephine Cavada Barbolini. He graduated from Highland Falls High School and joined the Marines in 1957. He was honorably discharged June 30, 1960. His first job was with the United States Postal Service as a carrier. After detouring through various jobs, which included time as a Palisades Interstate Park Police Officer and then as a New York State Trooper, he returned to the US Postal Service and retired as a Postmaster in Highland Falls, NY, on May 3, 1998.
Aldo married the love of his life, Jean Ann Donnery on November 11, 1961. They made their home in Highland Falls, NY and then moved to San Antonio, FL in 2002 after they both retired. They were married 63 years. Aldo enjoyed football, ice hockey, golf and spending time with friends.
Aldo leaves behind his wife, Jean Ann Barbolini, daughter, Jean Marie Green (Jeffrey), son, Ruddi Edward Barbolini (Kim), and son, Joseph Thomas Barbolini. Grand children: Jeremy David Green (Taylor), Jordan Michelle Green, Christopher Ruddi Barbolini (Stephanie), Sarah Kimberly Barbolini, Matthew Ruddi Barbolini, Victoria Gavigan Hayes (Colin), Beau Todd Gavigan. Great grandchildren: Pamela June Ellen Gavigan, Ayden Gavigan (Lily), Brianna Gavigan, Ian Christopher Gavigan II, James Ruddi Barbolini and Henry Joseph Barbolini. Great Great Grandson: Everett Jackson. Sisters: Dolores Horan (Joseph) and Mary Flanagan (Thomas). Nieces: Courtney DeBrino (Lou) and Joelle Crapella (Russ) and nephews: George Flachofsky, Robert Flachofsky (Lisa), and Herb Flachofsky (Anya).
Aldo was predeceased by his parents, Rudolph and Josephine Cavada Barbolini; baby brother, Henry; daughter, Tereza Marie Gavigan, her husband, Todd William Gavigan, their son, Ian Christopher Gavigan; and great grandson, baby Dean Hayes.
Two funeral services will be held: 1. Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 32145 St. Joe Rd, Dade City, FL 33525, on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 10:00 AM.
2. Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 353 Main St, Highland Falls, NY 10928, on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 10:00 AM. An Interment will follow at the Eagle Valley Cemetery.
