Alecia Tilson

Alecia Rena Tilson was born on April 30, 1964 in Lincoln, NE to Alex G and Ruth W Schnell. She passed away on June 9, 2025 after suffering a serious fall that resulted in a fractured vertebra. The surgery to correct the fracture was a success but the rehabilitation proved difficult, and her health deteriorated. She developed a systematic infection that took her life.
Alecia enjoyed talking on the phone with friends and family. She spoke often with Denise, Nancy B, Missy, Nancy, Jolene, Cindy, Linda Sue, Mrs. Krupps and others. The conversations were not long but she valued the connections. Alecia had a big heart and sought ways to help others including providing food for neighbors. She cared for her mother as she was able. They enjoyed visiting and sharing meals together. Eating out with friends and family was a favorite pastime. Other hobbies included drawing and coloring and she would mail her artworks to friends.
Alecia is survived by her daughter, Sheanna O'Brien; her brothers, Ralph Schnell (Kerrie) and Arnold Schnell (Susan), and extended family.
A memorial graveside service is planned for Saturday, July 12 at 6:00 pm at the Cumberland Heights Seventh-day Adventist Church Cemetery 123 Old State Hwy 56, Coalmont, TN.. Pastor Darryl Blahovich presiding.
