Alejandra Balleza passed away on Thursday, Feb 22nd, 2024 at the age of 85 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family in Garland, Texas. She courageously fought two battles with cancer until the end. She was born and raised in San Luis Potosi, Mexico and migrated to North Texas in 1974 with her husband and 4 children. Alejandra was married to her husband Reymundo for over 42 years. They raised 6 children together and were members of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Garland, Texas.
She started out as a seamstress but dedicated the remainder of her life working as a manual laborer in the manufacturing industry. She loved sewing and knitting and would make clothes for all the newborn babies coming into the family. She also loved cooking and made sure to pass down all the family recipes. She absolutely loved being outside, working in her garden, and sharing plants with others so they can start their own. She loved spending time interacting, playing, and watching cartoons with her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Alejandra is preceded in death by her husband Reymundo, her parents Daniel Olguin and Nemesia Galves, 6 brothers and 1 sister.
She is survived by her children Arminda, Raymond (Maria), Juan Jose (Yasmin) of Garland Texas, Guillermo of Matamoros Mexico, Shelly (Nima) of Plano Texas and Martha (Rick) of Sachse Texas. Her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Melissa (James), Crystal (Robert), Danielle (Matthew), Raymond Jr (Valerie), Julio, Christopher, Steven (Tracie), Michael, Briyani (Javier), Cassandra, Jacky, Emily, Gracie, Joseph, Ariana, Alexandra, and Ethan.
7 great-grandkids, 2 sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.
