Alejandro Aparicio Jr., age 90, of Corpus Christi, Texas was called home to the Kingdom of Heaven by our Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, August 13, 2025. He was born on a beautiful Sunday morning during the “Dust Bowl Era” on April 7, 1935, to Alejandro and Baptistina Aparicio of Corpus Christi, TX

Alejandro had many names - “Johny”, “Alex”, “Yone”, “Juan”, to name a few but “Johny” (with one “n”) was his nickname of preference.

Johny attended Roy Miller High School in the 1950’s before accepting the call to active duty during the Korean War and served aboard the USS COWELL (DD-547), alongside one of his brothers, at the tender age of 16. He proudly served our nation with honor and distinction as a proud enlisted serviceman in the U.S. Navy where he was awarded several medals and awards as an “Operations Specialist”. His devotion to duty and country earned the freedoms Americans cherish and enjoy today. After his enlistment, Johny pursued several jobs in the T.V. electronics field where he brought life to televisions under his company name, “A.A. Electronics Service & Repair”.

Johny was an intelligent man and had a passion for self-teachings and was a lifelong learner. He taught himself to read (with the help of his grandmother), electronics, electrical wiring, carpentry, tax preparation, computer technology, law, typing, photography, learning the legalities of filing legal documents, and vehicle mechanics. He always had a book in his hand or by his side. His deepest passions were those of smart technology and tinkering with any electronic gadgetry that he could bring back to life. Johny also had a deep passion for our Lord and creator, Jesus Christ, and had many Bibles in his home that he enjoyed reading and studying. Johny was also a self-starter, earning his high school diploma from Roy Miller High School decades later by way of Presidential Order for enlisting before his graduation. He also earned a certificate in paralegal studies and offered his services to many friends and family struggling with legal battles, needing tax filing assistance, T.V. repairs, and home repairs. He had a very humorous side and made so many people laugh with his tricks, jokes, and funny sayings and stayed true to his funny nature in his final years. He was a staunch advocate for civil rights and served as the President of the local A.F.G.E. chapter for Corpus Christi Army Depot where he fought against injustices toward workers in the 1960’s - 1970’s.

Alejandro is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Cecilia “Perez” Aparicio, who was a beacon of love, hope, respect, resilience, and promise for him in his final years. Her love and vows were deeply rooted in her faith in Jesus. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alejandro and Baptistina “Saldana” Aparicio, and siblings and in-laws, Ricardo (Josefina) Aparicio, Maria Esther (Zenon) Ramirez Galvan, Neftali Aparicio, Robert Morgan Sr., and Reynaldo Cansino Jr.

He is also survived by five daughters, four sons, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and cousins. Johny will be dearly missed by his friends and family but most especially by the one true love of his life - Cecilia. He is now at peace, resting in the arms of Jesus, where his tears will be wiped away, where death is no more, nor mourning, nor crying, nor pain, in his new body, singing with the angels, walking the streets of gold and living in his mansion the Lord prepared for him. Amen.
