Tomas C. Maldonado, affectionately known as "Boy," was born on August 19, 1950, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025, in the same beloved city where he spent his life.
A proud graduate of Moody High School, class of 1970, Tomas was a hard-working man whose dedication to his career was matched only by his devotion to his family. He was renowned for his strong work ethic and tirelessly dedicated himself to providing for those he loved. In his rare moments of leisure, Tomas found solace in the simple joys of life; he cherished fishing and had a passion for capturing memories through photography. His greatest treasure, however, was the time he spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren, whom he adored.
Tomas is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Hermelinda R. Maldonado. He leaves behind two children, Monica Marie Brown (Glynn) and Tomas Mateo Maldonado (Michelle), who carry forward his legacy of hard work and love. He is also survived by his cherished siblings, Estella Alvarez, Dolores Maldonado, Christina M. Ramirez, Alvin Maldonado, and Grace Peña; and daughter in law, Sandra Maldonado. Among his greatest joys were his grandchildren, Nicholas Brown (Elizabeth), Emma Brown, Noah Brown, Mila Brown, Elijah Maldonado, Juliet Maldonado, and Isabella Maldonado, as well as his great-grandchildren, Ray Anthony Brown, Marylou Brown, Maximus Brown, and Nicholas Brown.
Tomas was preceded in death by his parents, Tomas and Dolores Maldonado, whose memory he honored throughout his life, and his beloved grandson, Vincent Adam Maldonado.
As we remember Tomas C. Maldonado, we celebrate a life dedicated to family, hard work, and the love that he brought into this world. His legacy will continue to shine brightly through the lives he touched and the memories he created.
