Alejandro Carrillo Galindo, known affectionately by his friends and family as Alex, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024, in
Corpus Christi, Texas, after a valiant battle with cancer. Born on June 7, 1980, in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico, Alex brought joy and spirit into the lives of all who knew him throughout his 44 years.
Alex, a proud graduate of Roy Miller High School, lived by the Buccaneer motto, "Once a Buc, always a Buc." His strength and determination to succeed led him to travel extensively during the last years of his journey. Alex's career path led him to various roles, but he found his niche in construction. His last employment was with Western Steel in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where his dedication and hard work left a lasting impression on everyone he worked with.
Alex's love for life was evident in his passions. He was an avid rock concert fan, supporting local music rock groups and venues with immense enthusiasm. His spirit soared on the open road as a great motorcycle enthusiast, always seeking the next adventure and the freedom that the ride provided. Alex's story is one of passion, resilience, and an unyielding zest for life that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Jerry Alexander Galindo; his brother, Gerardo "Jerry" Galindo; his maternal grandmother, Silveria G. Carrillo; his maternal grandfather, Jose Carrillo, Sr.; father Jose Guadalupe Galindo Obregon.
Alex's loving legacy continues through his mother, Lupita Carrillo Hurst (Dairell); his son, John Anthony Ramirez (Anamaria); his cherished first grandson, Anthony Ramirez, Jr.; his daughter, Gabriella Marie Garza (Kalob); his grandson, Roy Garza; and his daughters, Xhia Lex Galindo and Xzaizree Love Galindo; his niece, Breanna Galindo (Shawn); his grandnephew, Kingston; grandniece, Bonnibel Marie; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends will also hold Alex's memory dear in their hearts.
Pastor Don Hurst will officiate at A Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 2:30 P.M. at the Guardian Reception Hall at 5831 Ayers St. in
Corpus Christi, Texas.
