Alene Teynor, 91, passed away on March 4, 2025 surrounded by her children at her home in Boulder City, Nevada. She found joy in prayer, strength in scripture, and peace in the promises of eternal life.

Alene was born on February 12, 1934 in Orlando, Florida to Alley and Pearl Peele. She married Harold “Gene” Teynor on June 15, 1952 in Orange County, Florida and was happily married for 43 years before his passing.

Alene was a 1952 graduate of Orlando High School in Orlando, Florida. After her marriage to Gene, the couple moved to Bucyrus, Ohio where they owned and operated Teynor’s Mobile Homes.

Alene was a world traveler and enjoyed numerous trips around the globe with her family, but you most frequently would find Alene spending her winters at her home in Duck Key, Florida and her summers at her home on Lake Erie with her husband and children. Alene enjoyed anytime she was on the water, including numerous cruises and fishing trips with her family. She adored constantly beating her family in Mexican train dominoes and participating in the local mahjong club. Alene was a member of the Marathon, Florida Garden Club, the Elks Lodge, the Moose Lodge, and the Senior Center of Boulder City.

Alene is survived by her three children, Gail (Rodney) Shambaugh, of Boulder City, Burt Teynor, of Marengo, Ohio, and Keith (Madalyn) Teynor, of Catawaba Island, Ohio; six grandchildren, Matthew (Jeannette) Shambaugh, of Overton, Nevada, Megan (David) Archambeault, of Las Vegas, Nevada, Kyle (April) Teynor, of Johnsville, Ohio, Ryan Teynor, of Mansfield, Ohio, Keaton (Sydney) Teynor, of Starkville, Mississippi, and Kennedy Teynor and her fiancé (Blake Williams), of Elmore, Ohio; seven great grandchildren, Maximus Shambaugh, Marcus Shambaugh, Collette Archambeault, Charley Archambeault, Karson Teynor, Korbyn Teynor, and Konnor Teynor; and nieces and nephew, Greg Peele, Debbie Glaser, and Becky Peele of Florida.

Alene was preceded in death by her parents, Alley and Pearl Peele, and brothers James Peele and Floyd Peele.

A celebration of life service will be held on September 3, 2025, 11:00 AM at Oakwood Cemetery Bucyrus, Ohio.
