COLESBURG, IOWA

A. Louise Bush, 84, of Colesburg, Iowa, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025, following a long illness.

Visitation will be held 4 – 7 p.m., on Monday, November 17, 2025, at Morris Funeral Home in Guttenberg, Iowa. Visitation will continue at 9 a.m. at the funeral home prior to funeral services.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Morris Funeral Home in Guttenberg, Iowa with burial at Bethel Cemetery in Colesburg.

Louise was born on February 2, 1941, daughter of Dean and Erma (Vanderpool) Jones on February 2, 1941, in Salida, Colorado. She was united in marriage to Richard H. Bush on April 9, 1966, at First Lutheran Church in Manchester, Iowa and four children were born to this union.

Following graduation from Garnavillo, Iowa, Louise held several jobs. Her most important job was raising her four children and loving her three grandchildren even more. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading, and most of all, spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Doug (Leanne) Bush of Manchester, Darcy Bush of Colesburg, Dena (Steve) Kruse of Petersburg, David Bush of Woolstock, Iowa; grandchildren: Isabell, Madalynn, and Aden Kruse; in-laws: Louise (Linus) Amling of Colesburg, Lavonne Bush of Colesburg, Sonya Bush of Guttenberg, and Suzanne Knutson of Rock Falls, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard in 2008; and a sister, Loretta Jones.
