Alex was born May 19, 1998, in Athens, Ohio to Shawn Riley and Melinda Nichols. Alex loved fishing and camping. He also had a very dry sense of humor.
Surviving are his parents, Shawn Riley and Melinda Nichols; brothers, Travis (Nikki) Nichols and Nicholas Fussner; grandmother, Marilyn Sayre-Hogsett; uncles, Eric (Felicia) Fussner, Adam Sayre, and Ryan Sayre; aunts, Stacy Fussner, Tonya Schuckman, Carrie (Chris) Thomas; niece and nephews, Natalie Nichols, Owen Fussner, Jameson Nichols; special cousins, Austin Inman, Mallory Fussner, Brookelynn Weaver, Dawlson Weaver, Clayton Sayre, and several other cousins.
Alex was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gary Kittle, Delilah Kittle, and Frank Hogsett.
There will be a private family visitation held prior to cremation and burial at Greenlawn Cemetery in Nelsonville, Ohio. Arrangements are by the Warren-Brown Funeral Home of Nelsonville, Ohio.

I am shocked and so sorry for his family! I am just now finding out that Alex had passed away. I was best friends with his mom, but we lost contact with each other years ago! Mindy my thoughts are with you, there is nothing that could be worse than the loss of a child please know if I would of known I would have been there for you
