Alexander "Alex" Peter Saric
Age 75 of Minnetonka, beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on May 9, 2025, after a two-year battle with cancer, which he fought bravely with the unwavering support of his loving wife of 49 years, Rada Saric. Alex was born on November 22, 1949, and grew up in Hopkins, Minnesota, graduating from Hopkins High School in 1967. He was a two-time state wrestling champion and a member of the Hopkins High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Alex was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, ski, and hike with his cherished yellow labs. He had an amazingly creative mind, with a gift for storytelling, and he was also a guitarist, lyricist, and poet. He was witty and outgoing, with a successful career in sales. Alex was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Louise; his brother, Henry; and his yellow labs, Buddy, Sunny, and Lenny. He is survived by the one great love of his life, his wife, Rada; his devoted younger brother, George; his yellow lab, Rudy; several nieces and nephews, and his dear friends, of which he had so many. He will be missed but never, ever forgotten. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday May 22 at 2PM with visitation one hour prior at Washburn-McReavy Hopkins Chapel (1400 Mainstreet, Hopkins).
