Alexander Araujo Jr. of Peabody, MA passed away peacefully with family at his side early in the morning on July 31, 2025, at the age of 58 in Salem Hospital after a brief battle with lung cancer. Alex was born May 24, 1967, in Salem, son of his late loving mother Rosa Rodas Araujo and father Alexander R. Araujo.
Alex is survived by cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends. He was a free spirit who enjoyed the simpler things in life and could be seen walking daily throughout the city of Peabody. In his younger years he enjoyed painting and drawing. He worked in a family bakery for many years and also as a handyman and helper on various construction projects alongside his good friend and boss, Jimmy. He also enjoyed spending time with family and hanging out at Greg's Lounge drinking cappuccinos.
He lived his life with no regrets and will be missed by his family and friends.
