Alexander M. Ciccone, 93, of Putnam Pike, Greenville, died Monday, June 16, 2025 at Fatima Hospital in North Providence. He was the son of the late Alfiero and Lucy (Abruzzi) Ciccone.
Born in Providence, he had most recently lived in Smithfield. Alec was an electrical engineer for General Electric and later Honeywell before retiring.
He served in the US Army during the Korean War.
He was the brother of the late Louise (Ciccone) Lachapelle and brother-in-law of the late Charles Lachapelle. He is survived by his nieces and nephews: John Lachapelle and his wife, Tracie, Ann Simbron and her husband, Jerry, James Lachapelle and his wife, Terry, Wayne Lachapelle and his wife, Maureen, Michelle Jackvony and her husband, Tod, as well as many great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. He was the uncle of the late Ed Lachapelle.
His funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 18th at 10:30am in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. His burial with military honors will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
