He worked as a driver with DoorDash and a former manager at Zaxby's. Alex was a member of Realife Church. He enjoyed working on cars and spending time with family and friends. He had a big heart and loved helping others in any way he could.
He is survived by his parents, Ken and Laura Melton of Indianapolis; grandmother, Reni "Oma" Melton of Greenfield; siblings, Amber Correll of Greenwood, Anita Willis of Noblesville, Kristopher (Cassie) Melton of Greenfield, Reni (Max) Shockley of Greenwood, twelve other siblings; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Young; and fiancé, Louisa Goddard.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held following the visitation at 2:00 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Alex and to support his family via GoFundMe at https://gofund.me/4a293aa7, or envelopes will be available at the mortuary. Friends may share a memory or condolence at www.erleweinmortuary.com.
