Alexander Dean Pappe, beloved son, brother, and friend, lovingly known simply as Alex, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 30, 2025, leaving behind memories cherished by all who knew and loved him. Born on May 29, 2000, in
Kansas City, Kansas, Alex came into the world with a quiet strength that would define his life in ways few could imagine.
At just 4 years old, Alex faced a brain tumor-a mature teratoma-which began his journey of incredible courage and resilience. Years later, at 17, he confronted yet another brain tumor, this time a germinoma, and underwent a tumor resection followed by six weeks of radiation with a depth of character that inspired everyone around him. Through it all, Alex always remained happy-a pure source of light, laughter, and positivity for all those around him. His joy wasn't naïve; it was courageous, a testament to his incredible heart.
Alex grew up in
Duluth, Georgia, where he attended Berkeley Lake Elementary School, Duluth Middle School, and Duluth High School. From a young age, he found joy in music-both singing and listening-and it became one of the defining passions of his life. His voice, energy, and love for melody brightened every room he entered.
During his youth, Alex also attended Victory World Church in Norcross, where he developed lifelong connections to faith and community.
Alex was the third of four children, cherished by his two brothers, Austin and Avery, and beloved by his sister, Amanda. Each shared a special bond with him and will forever hold his memory close. To them, Alex was not only a brother but a constant source of steady love, genuine warmth, and an irreplaceable presence.
He is reunited in peace with his maternal grandmother, Pamela who passed before him and his beloved cousin, Colten.
Alex is survived by his devoted parents, Jessica and Jason; his siblings Amanda, Austin, and Avery; his maternal grandfather Robert Fitzgibbons along with his paternal grandparents Arizona and Keith Pappe. He is also survived by a large and loving extended family too many to list.
He is also remembered fondly by his close friends Clem, Hazmell, and Philip, whose lives he touched with his endearing friendship.
Alex will be remembered for his kindness, his cheerful spirit, and the love that he shared so freely. His life has touched so many, and his absence will be felt deeply by all who knew him. Though his life was marked by extraordinary trials, Alex never allowed them to define him. He will always be cherished for his courage, his quiet strength, and his gentle heart which touched not only those that knew him, but anyone who had the joy of meeting him. The love he gave and the resilience he embodied will continue to echo on in the hearts he leaves behind.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alex Pappe Memorial Service Fund. https://www.givesendgo.com/GM9SW?utm_source=sharelink&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_campaign=GM9SW
