Alexandru Pop Obituary

Alexandru V. Pop, age 74, of Erie, passed away Friday, December 20, 2024. He was born in Romania on October 1, 1950, son of the late Vasile and Paulina Pop.
Alexandru arrived in the United States in 1981 as a refugee. He worked as a baker for most of his life, and was the former owner of Majestic Bakery.
Alexandru is survived by five children, Silviu Pop (Nana), Giovani Pop (Mariana), Ciprian Pop (Adina Muntean), Adrian Pop (Nadia) and Iulia Pop; one sister, Marioara Helmut; one brother, Viorel Pop; and eight grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ioan Pop.
Private arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd.

I met Alex at a birthday party years ago he was so welcoming and open about his life. He also shared some homemade wine from Romania. God bless his family and friends.
