Al served in the United States Navy on the USS Midway from 1949 to 1952. After completing his service, he married Eva Cassidy in 1952 in Bronx, NY. They later moved to Connecticut to raise their family. Al co-founded JPM Company Inc., his work gave him the opportunity to travel to many places. He continued sharing stories from those years with family and friends throughout his life.
Al had many interests, including gardening, fishing, playing cards, and cooking. Early in his retirement, he enjoyed traveling with his wife, grandchildren, and extended family. He was a devoted sports fan who loved keeping up with his favorite teams, watching games, and discussing the latest stats. Above all, he treasured time with family and friends. Always ready to lend a helping hand, he never missed an opportunity to make a new friend and loved asking about the lives of those around him. His famous meatballs and gravy became a family tradition that will always be remembered.
Al loved his family. He was devoted to them, and in return, he was deeply loved. His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Al was predeceased by his wife, Eva Cassidy, and his son, John Cassidy.
