WAREHAM – Alfred Philip Coté, 91, of Wareham, passed away on January 24, 2025, at Nemasket Healthcare Center, Middleboro. He was the husband of Edna A. (Boulanger) Coté and the son of the late Alfred M. and Liane (Racine) Coté.
He was born in Woonsocket, RI and lived in Foxborough for many years before moving to Wareham in 1988. He graduated from Bellingham High School and Northeastern University. He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the United States Coast Guard.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Foxborough and the Foxborough County Club. He enjoyed golfing, reading, playing the guitar, spending time with family and friends, politics and history.
Mr. Coté worked as a Banking Equipment Engineer for many years before retiring.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Edna A. (Boulanger) Coté; a son, Douglas Coté and his wife Robin of Marion; 2 daughters, Sheila St. Jean and her husband Stephen of New Bedford and Melissa Girard and her husband Richard of Chesapeake Beach, MD; 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; many nephews and nieces. He was the brother of the late Edward Coté and Diane Martin.
Services are being held privately.
