Alfred's many hobbies included amateur radio, bass fishing, model airplanes and woodworking. He found equal joy in gardening and in the kitchen, his creativity knew no bounds.
Above all, Alfred was a hard worker, dedicated not just to his projects, but to the people they were for. His family was the core of his life. He found great joy in time spent surrounded by his family, sharing laughter and creating memories.
Alfred was preceded in death by his parents, A.B. Westbrook, Sr and Tinie Edwards Westbrook; and sister, Patricia Jarrett.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda Westbrook; children, Lisa Westbrook Coleman (Keith) and Adam Westbrook (Shannon); grandchildren, Max Bastanpour, Riley Bastanpour and Ava Westbrook; sister, Jackie Westbrook (Jerry Polk); as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 28, 2025 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Alan Day officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Forest Memorial Park in Jasper. The family is receiving friends on Wednesday, August 27th from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
