Alvin Setser Obituary

Alvin loved the outdoors, he spent countless hours fishing and hunting. He was also a formidable opponent in both pool and softball. He loved his family dearly, his children and grandchildren were the light of his life. Alvin was a man of faith. He was a member of the Waleska Church of God of Prophecy, where he served and worshiped over the years. Alvin will be remembered for his kind yet lovingly stubborn spirit.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lula Setser; brothers, Harold Setser, Billy Setser and Buster Setser; and sisters, Shirlia Jordan, Evelyn Blanton and Darlene Stoker.
Alvin is survived by his children, Samuel Setser and Kayla Setser; grandchildren, Adelynn Worley and Anna Worley; siblings, Marie Childers, Dill Pruitt (Dave), David Setser, Selt Setser and Alline Donaldson; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 29, 2025 at the Waleska Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor Dottie Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sosebee Funeral Home on Thursday, August 28th from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday, August 29th from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
