Susan R. Cooper, 62, of Versailles passed away Monday, July 28, 2025 at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. She was born in Indianapolis on April 30, 1963, the daughter of Robert and Leona Ayler LaPorte. Survivors include one son Jesse (Lizzie) Cooper of Versailles; two daughters Makaela Myers of Chesapeake, Virginia and Jenna Lee (Jeremy) Nutchler of Versailles; grandchildren Elizabeth, Horace, Jaden, Lillie, and Ella; one brother Bobby (Bobbi) LaPorte of Wake Forest, North Carolina; one sister Tina (Kim) Brinson of Versailles, and her dog Baby Girl. Ms. Cooper was a 1981 graduate of Southport (Indianapolis) High School and attended college in Virginia Beach. Her working career spanned many years working in car sales, as an insurance agent, computer programmer, and a convenience store owner. Susan enjoyed fishing, crocheting, hiking, bird watching, and most of all caring and spending time with her grandchildren. She led an amazing and interesting life and after her passing had her corneas donated to help someone in the future. Susan was a member of the Milton Christian Church. Her wishes were to be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles.
