Alfredo Gonzalez Obituary
He was born on December 31, 1949, in Jalisco, Mexico, to Refujio Rodriguez and Guadalupe Gonzalez.
Alfredo worked for many years as a borderman, assembling mattresses at Sealy Springs. He also owned and operated his own landscaping business and previously worked in landscaping with DeYoung Landscaping. A man of strong faith, he attended St. Augustine Catholic Church. Alfredo had a deep love for tending to the earth, he enjoyed growing peppers and tomatoes in his vegetable garden and raising chickens and goats.
He is survived by his children: Jorge, Blanca, Carlos, Juan, Alfredo, Milagros, Maria de Los Angeles, Gabriel, Ulyses, Guadalupe, Freddy, and Mareah de Jesus; 23 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and 9 siblings.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM CT at Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer. A Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00 PM CT at St. Augustine Catholic Church, with Father Nelson Trillo Para officiating. Interment will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
